All donations to the Foundation, by both corporations and individuals, are invested in an interest bearing endowment account. The endowment fund totals approximately $250,000 with a goal set of $1,000,000. Because only interest not the principle is spent, all donations can be considered “life time” contributions. Grants funded will help leverage and expand the abilities of the local resources to better benefit the needs of the community.
The Lincoln Community Foundation requests applications in the following categories:
Health Services
Educational Services
Cultural and the Arts Programs
Community Building and Revitalization Programs
Environmental and Scientific Projects
Grant applications are available each year in October at the Lincoln City Hall. Grants will be awarded annually in December. For more information, call 434-2490.
