Lincoln Forced to Pay State $871,000 In the midst of ongoing budget workshops being conducted to close a $2 million budget gap by reducing critical city services such as public safety, parks & recreation and library hours, Lincoln was forced to turn over $871,000 to the Placer County Auditor, a required payment resulting from the State's decision to raid $2.05 billion in local redevelopment funds as part of the 2009-10 State Budget. Utility Billing Counter Business Hours Changed The City of Lincoln's Utility Billing Counter business hours have changed effective March 1st, 2010. Effective March 1st, hours for the utility billing counter are now 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. City of Lincoln Third Quarter Sales Tax Update The allocation from Lincoln's July through September 2009 sales was 12.6% lower than the same quarter one year ago.
