Lincoln Forced to Pay State $871,000 In the midst of ongoing budget workshops being conducted to close a $2 million budget gap by reducing critical city services such as public safety, parks & recreation and library hours, Lincoln was forced to turn over $871,000 to the Placer County Auditor, a required payment resulting from the State's decision to raid $2.05 billion in local redevelopment funds as part of the 2009-10 State Budget. Effective March 1st, hours for the utility billing counter are now 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. City of Lincoln Third Quarter Sales Tax Update The allocation from Lincoln's July through September 2009 sales was 12.6% lower than the same quarter one year ago.
