Community Events

Spring
Two of Lincoln's most popular events are held each year in May. The Feats of Clay, a renowned national art competition, where artists from across the nation converge in Lincoln to display their works of art and provide craft demonstrations. Also during the month, the Gladding McBean clay factory offers tours through its facilities.

The Holy Ghost Festival, a week-long celebration, is also held in May and celebrates Lincoln's Portuguese heritage. A parade, a carnival featuring traditional Portuguese customs and foods, and the crowning of a queen highlight the festival.

The Lincoln Lion's Club sponsors a community Easter Egg Hunt at Easter time, and the Lincoln Volunteer Center hosts the Tour de Lincoln bike ride on the Saturday before Mother's Day.

Summer
The City hosts a Fourth of July parade and fireworks for the community.

The City, Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce and the Foothill Farmers Market host a downtown farmer's market on Thursday evenings for 8 weeks during the summer.

Fall/Winter
The Lion's club is active in the community and sponsors two annual crab feeds, one in February and the other in November.

The Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament is held at one of the local golf courses each September. Proceeds go to help fund local youth programs.

The Lincoln Chamber hosts "Lincoln Showcase" which features local wineries and restaurants.

The Lincoln Volunteer Center hosts "Make a Difference Day", a national day of doing good, on the fourth Saturday in October.

Rounding out the year is the Downtown Christmas Parade and tree lighting ceremony in the plaza.
